“We aim to create a safe, secure environment where all children, families and staff feel valued, empowered, and happy to grow and learn together. Children actively learn through play and develop independence, confidence, and self-esteem, skilfully supported by qualified practitioners who creatively make learning fun for everyone.”
We aim to equip our children with the skills and knowledge they require to enable them to lead a healthy, fulfilled life. We aim to give them the tools required to be curious and understand the world around them.
At Luans Little People we aim to provide a warm, friendly, happy provision where children have an opportunity to thrive in an environment which stimulates their personal needs. Our aim is for each child to increase in confidence and self-esteem by treating them as individuals. We believe at that all children deserve an education that allows natural curiosity to flourish alongside the purposeful acquisition of skills and knowledge.
The teaching and learning of new skills and knowledge are provided through both adult led, and child led opportunities both indoors and outdoors. By focusing on this knowledge and teaching new skills we can give children the best possible opportunity to fulfil their potential as well as promoting independence.
We want children to reach the end of their journey with us being confident learners, with the curiosity and creativity to continue to be lifelong learners.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework sets out seven areas of learning.

With the support of development matters as a guidance and our staff’s knowledge and experience we will provide a range of fun activities as well as a memorable journey for all children.

We celebrate these through food tasting, books and stories, creative activities, role play etc.
Our children’s achievements and progress will be recorded and tracked throughout their time at Luans Little people Day Nursery.
At 2 all children will receive a 2-year check from the nursery and the health team.
When children leave us at the end of their journey (age 4-5) they will have a report to pass on to school to inform them of their current ability in all areas of learning.
It may be identified during observation and assessment that children may require some support in certain areas. We will work with both parents and child to ensure we investigate every possible pathway to support children’s individual needs. We will work with other agencies to ensure the best possible care is given and appropriate plans and targets in place.
On our Famly online system we keep parents updated on whats happening at nursery.
This may include:
· Nappy logs/toilet training
· Meals – keep track on what your child eats during their session.
· Sleep
· Snapshots of our day
· Events and planning
